The Emerald Coast Vizsla Club held a mentored Hunt Test on April 24, 2010 and a mentored Field Trial on April 25, 2010. The Florida Panhandle German Shorthaired Pointer Club mentored us through these events and we are truly appreciative for their assistance though this process. We were allowed to use the beautiful grounds of Little River Farms in Quincy, FL. We had a 4 point major in Amateur Gun Dog - now that's impressive!

We had many qualifying scores and many happy faces in Junior Hunter and (2) in Senior Hunter.

Lots of FUN was had by all that attended our first Annual Fun Day! Debbie Revell, of Pets Behave, Niceville, FL demonstrated Agility, Obedience and Rally. Then our Vizslas had a chance to try on their own. We had a wonderful cookout, a pool party and a hot-dog eating contest (by the canines, not the humans!) Can't wait until next year!

Snake Clinic Success!
54 dogs went through the Snake Avoidance Clinic with Dr. Bud Calderwood! The ECVC was very pleased with such a good turnout. Two days later, an owner of one of the dogs called to inform us that his dog came across a 3-4 foot water moccasin and ran as fast and far away as he could! Success!
